I fully acknowledge that this is a very dangerous activity, and by doing so, I voluntarily expose myself to many hazardous risks, including but not limited to death or grave bodily injury from the following: gunshots, (either inflicted by myself or others, either intentional, negligent or accidental), broken bones or sprains, automobile accidents, lacerations, foreign objects in eyes, or any other injury that might occur while on the premises.
I agree to wear protective clothing, including hats, wrap-around eye protection and hearing protection, or any other protective clothing necessary to prevent injury, at all times while in shooting areas, will adhere to the following safety rules.
Guns shall be handled only at designated safety areas, or under an instructor’s direct supervision.
When guns are being handled, the gun shall always be pointed in a safe direction, whether loaded or unloaded, unassembled or disassembled. “Safe Direction” is defined as any direction in which, if the gun discharged, the bullet would be contained in a dirt back stop or at a designated target designed to be `shot during training activities.
When handling guns, the trigger-finger shall be outside the trigger guard unless actually in the process of shooting. At that time, the trigger-finger shall only be in the trigger guard when raised to the target in preparation to, or while shooting. Trigger-finger shall not be in the trigger guard when moving, (except when shooting at targets), reloading, clearing malfunctions, loading or unloading the gun.
In consideration for being granted permission to participate in firearms training activities on this or these dates, I hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless The Black Diamond Gun Club, Inc.; their agents, employees, independent contractors and volunteers, from any and all liability for personal injury or death, and any or all property damage due to loss which may arise from participating in this firearms training activity. In the event of injury, I agree to be 100% responsible for any medical costs associated with treating any injury.
I also agree to expulsion from the training activities, and removal from the premises for violating any safety rules of the Black Diamond Gun Club, Inc., or for violating any safety directives from any of The Black Diamond Gun Club, Inc., staff personnel.
I enter into the above agreement and release voluntarily and on behalf of my next of kin, heirs, administrators and assigns.
